I am with Salty on this one.

Whatever happens politically or legally in the next few years, historians will deal pretty harshly with the Bidens. For different reasons, I think future historians will be critical of President Bush's handling of The War on Terror. The dull extent of the Clinton' perfidiity and corruption may never be known.

Biden might be WD President but the brain dead moron isn’t mine. Only a complete fool would vote Biden. It must hurt that all the crowing on this board is aimed at the great man that is just getting more and more support, I guess most voters don’t come to the Eccie political forum to see who to vote for in upcoming elections. I know a few on here should go on suicide watch come November 2024.

I'll be somewhat serious; with Trump and Biden, I hope that I completely forget that both of those clowns were ever even elected. I don't believe hypnosis would help, but there has to be some way to help me forget this comedy of errors in American history. But yes, like it or not, he is the president in the country I love where I was born, raised and still reside and probably will until I die.

Lucas: I fall into that category of being a non-financial guy, but I do check the markets . . .I just have no idea what is going on. I seem to have mastered the art of reverse-cycle investing; Buy high and sell low.

And so, off-topic and with a quickie . . .I am retired since 2003. My Meger 401(k) is in the market with a diversified fund. . Should I be IN or OUT of the market now . . .or when should I move?

Markets are trending slightly higher. My opinion it will do so for a few weeks or months or continue.

You don’t want to time the market but remain invested with a percentage relative to your age and risk tolerance. Based on your age I think you should have about 30 to 35% in an S&P 500 fund or a domestic Equity Income fund. The balance in laddered individual CDs or bonds (not a bond fund). But it also depends if you have other savings, pensions, SS, everything paid off and so forth. At your stage in life, capital preservation and income should be your goals unless you hold a substantial portfolio.

Difficult to be an advisor over a forum board.
