She had to be impaired. I have not read a thing about her being impaired. There was a distinct doormat in from of his door. Did she have the same one?
I don’t think anyone knows bc she was not arrested until days later. If there was nothing to worry about it seems that both she and DPD would want to document this as quickly as possible to diffuse public speculation
The second amendment "is the right to defend yourself. It is not to shoot at deer but to shoot at tyrants if they take over the government."
ALL my Republican friends who were offended at the false sex charges against Kavanaugh changed their minds after watching this video. Kind of makes me wonder why the Dems didn't use it.
It's the best argument against gun control I have seen. The news is filled with all these school shootings but when it comes to real murder, it is not citizens who are the biggest murderers but government. You don't see the weddings being droned or the schools blown up by cruise missiles on the news, but every time there is a school shooting, the news cycle is endless.
The courts have carved out a special niche for officers like this one. She may not be found guilty of murder as she has qualified immunity. If one in a hundred officers had acted as she has, she might go just as free as the guy who strangled Eric Garner.
She is not OJ this will never work murder is never given unless there is over the top amount of proof she had the chance to walk away an focus on the problem at hand but she chose to shoot him murder is the case
Well, if by some miracle she is found not guilty at the trial, whenever that is, she can go back and get another Peace Officer job in Texas.
Just because DPD fired her, it doesn't make her TCOLE license invalid.
She is still innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
If she is found guilty, then her TCOLE license will be permanently suspended.
So as of right now, she is still a licensed peace officer in the state of Texas with her license on hold pending the outcome of this trial.
Or she can always become a provider or a stripper.
Anyone here wants to be on that jury?
It will be difficult for them to find 12 impartial jurors and 6 alternate impartial jurors.
There isn't a single person in DFW who is eligible for jury duty that has not heard about this case, read about it and most likely already formed their own opinion and decision on whether she is guilty or not.
Also remember all 12 jurors have to agree for the verdict to be valid and unanimous, without direction from the judge, the lawyers or from anyone else.

Don't be so sure about that. There are more people than you think that pay absolutely no attention to the news. I pay attention to the national news but I never watch the local news, mainly because it's full of stuff that is of no interest to me. And I'm a college-educated professional with graduate degrees. I probably wouldn't know about this case if it hadn't been posted on this site. Of course, I doubt I'm eligible to be on the jury since I live in Collin County, but it actually might be interesting to hear the actual evidence presented. It will probably be a relatively boring two weeks for 12 people, though.
