The Govt was given the right to levy taxes so it would have a source of income in order to be able to sustain itself.

Penalty or tax either way it is unconstitutional to tell us we have to buy something.

Actually, a nation is dying, mainly because it lacks what we have thanks to the Constitution. So maybe you should go home and suckle the shriveled tit of the monarchy while living in a land that forbids free speech. The liberals in Britain are already preparing the population for Sharia.

Can't deprive someone of life or property without due process of the law? Why, let's just change the law and make stealing legal, that's the ticket! It worked for the Nazis after all.

No, I don't agree. As I said in my previous post the Govt only has the right to levy taxes to support itself.

Can't speak for Essence mate but I live here now. And, I have citizenship. I maybe on the far left but I still have an equal say.

And, neither the Tories, Lib Dems, "LABOUR", or Green Peace parties would or will EVER sanction "Sharia Law". That is utter nonsense. As for her Royal Majesty I'm afraid Prince Philip is already sucking on her tit--whats left of it anyway. A bit disrespectful innit mate? We Brits aren't telling Americans with dual citizenship to piss of back to the colonies. Not sure there is any point at arguing this bloody matter anymore as "you" conservatives won this battle. Sadly, the poor and ill lost. I'll give your kind regards to my skint Cancer patients on their third round of Chemo. Okay;-) Right, off for me tea.

Just play along with the wing nuts. They regularly resort to scare tactics when they are otherwise losing their arguments. FYI, losing their arguments is something that comes quite natural to the Far Righties!

BTW, welcome to the land of milk and honey!

As you say, you don't speak for Essence, as for "a bit disrespectful" I'd say his rant about the Constitution more than qualifies, sauce for the goose.

Absolutely, just stick to mindless name calling and you'll fit in well with the US libs.

And everyone knows that when a leftie says up, s/he means down. And when s/he says losing, s/he means winning.

Psst excuse me.... You realize you guys are showing your blindness right?

I don't know even one american that has no love for their fellow man. The right just has rational thought. Don't get me wrong, if Romney wins nothing will change for the good or otherwise but I'd rather have no change than a commie FORCING themselves down my throat. It's not right that a bill as huge as healthcare be divided by party and shoved down our throats. There is reform needed and I'm not completely opposed to a single payer system but not how it's currently written. Way to much debt added as well.

Actually, the Obama Administration first discussed the possibility of a "single payer system," but that was quickly shot down by a group of moderate Dems and the entire Republican delegation.

My mistake big tex I was referring to the mandate. I'm not closed minded to it like I was. I still can't support it as it stands currently but there is potential here if both parties can budge an inch or two.

Obama should've stood up for Americans instead of caving. Even if he didn't get it passed, it would have been a much better platform to run on in November as opposed to running and hiding from this law now.
