Recapping for a second:
Germany converted to mainly solar and wind energy a few years back. More like invested heavily into it at the expense of other fuel supply strategies. As that was not panning out, they agreed to put a pipe line for fuel in to Russia - their sworn NATO enemy. Least we forget that is why NATO exists. BTW: Trump 1.0 warned them about that. Now Russia is in process of cordoning and controlling Ukraine, a non-NATO country on his boarder which has multiple pipelines to EU and NATO countries, including Germany. Meanwhile, back in Germany they have shut down the Russian pipeline project.
Seems the EU, to some extent, and definitely Germany gots their balls in a bit of an energy vice ATM, while at the same time China needs fuel and they have a common land border with Russia, through Mongolia.
One other item of note: Joe has the keys to the nuclear football, as does Putin, as does Xi. Pfffttttzzzz! Not to worry, Joe and Kamala got this. Right? Are you sure? Are you positive?
