The fact that I do not believe in the things I say I do not believe, does not mean to say i don;t have a significant appreciation of the things both Jesus and Paul said.

You can believe in many of the principles of Christianity, including the healing power of forgiveness and the concept that we are all worthy spiritual creatures, not of our own works but because of what we are and because of our relationships with others, without believing all the tenets of the christian religion.

You can forgive a sinner, and have an understanding of the nature of sin, without being a full blown christian. I hope so anyway.
