Typical of your modus operandi, declare victory without basis. The point of stoning the adulteress and the adulterer was that married men didn't want some bastard fucking their wives, saddling them with someone else's kids to support, and everyone wanted to get rid of them. Punishments today are covered under grace, as you well know.

Aggression of opinion aside,

I have long believed it is not just the physical act that causes a man (or woman for that matter) to seek the intimate company of another. Even if they are in a happy, loving, relationship.

Each case is unique in it's own right. On one hand you have a happily married man who's wife is willing to do every intricate and taboo in bed. Even if her heart is in it her body may not be. In my experience if someone is willing but not enjoying... it ruins the experience completely.

The most common is simply the wife simply does not want to and will not try. He loves her as a partner, as a friend, and as a person but he has needs. Is it so wrong for him to seek a safe and emotionally detached way for these needs to be filled? Better an escort than a bar fly whom is likely riddled with drama and diseases.

There is, of course, the gentleman with the wife that simply has grown comfortable. She expects the world from him and yet no longer is appreciative. She doesn't compliment him anymore. Oh she might be willing to do all the naughty things in bed....but she simply doesn't treat him like she used to. He doesn't feel like a king. He feels like a child being held under a roof of demands. No please, no thank you. In this case all he wants is to feel appreciated. He seeks out the company of a young beautiful companion because she provides the "ooh's" and "ahh's" she makes him feel like a king, or a god. She laughs as his jokes and looks at him as if he was 20 again.

Some, few but not few enough, seek out the company of a companion because in their lives they have no power. The wife is a ball buster, work see's him as a cockroach and treats him like a number rather than a face. His kids demand the world and he feels powerless. So he purchases company so HE can have the power. More often than not he displaces his feelings of angst and frustration by treating this purchased company poorly. In this way he does not lash out at his family or lose his job for standing up to the asshole that demands he work 70 hours a week for pennies on the dollar.

Some are drawn by the simple basic issue of convenience and a momentary fantasy. These gentlemen do it once in a moment of brave passion and regret it the second after. They spend the next five years or so wallowing in guilt and rarely repeat the process.

Some men are simply bored. They have had the same devoted perfect wife all their lives (married right out of high school) and though they love said wife.... they want to experience something different. They don't want to hurt the family so they try to find a safe way to deal with the urges.

Keep in mind, I have always subscribed to the theory that human beings were not wired to be monogamous. Men wearing the stronger genes to "go forth and reproduce with as many as possible" Deep in his subconscious it is telling him to continue to find the best mate to reproduce with. It does not matter if he already found one. This stems from thousands of years ago when life itself depended on mass reproduction fallowed by a long period of time in history when a family needed a mass of children to survive. (low survival rate of children as well as the labor needed from children to maintain ones livelihood.) These long term historic and sociological situations ingrained on the dna. Imprinted if you will. Though we no longer need mass reproduction the dna still thinks we do and thus biologically our bodies continue to demand we "reproduce with as many as possible" Of course this is all theory. The theory does explain why many happily fulfilled men find themselves seeking the company of another's bed.

As usual, Just my thoughts on the subject.

You couldn't be more correct with this response to Wakeup, Jaycee. Ignore Wakeup. He or she has some deep issues going on about cheating. Wakeup is either a cuckold or a jilted woman or a disillusioned hooker.

Whatever. Wakeup apparently feels it's the man's fault NO MATTER WHAT. There are no variables or different situations. If you cheat, it's your fault. End of story. Of course rational people realize that life is RARELY that cut and dry, but try telling that to Wakeup.
