Tie Breaker
Well, let's see if we can put aside the rancorous assaults and petty insults for a little while and focus on the topic of this thread.
It appears that we finally have a consensus.
President Obama won the second debate.
Romney won the first one.
. . .The last debate then will be the tie-breaker!

I imagine we'll have several sets of new numbers by Friday. They'll show that Romney will go down like IBCrying on a Turkish sailor's prod!

I am sure that President Obama now realizes that Romney set him up for the last debate, which will be National Security. Romney now has the President on record in front of millions making a statement that he knows was false, he was not referring to the Lybian fisaco when he said "terror" in that Gose Rose Garden Speech.
I agree, the last debate will probably decide this election. Voters, for once, seem genuine in their excitment for this round of elections. I also believe that many voters are now seeing some rather glaring flaws in the President as he is forced into uncomfortable situations. Romney is playing hard bal, and the President can't hit a curve ball.

Don't forget "Operation Fast and Furious" in regards to U.S. and Mexican relations! Without consulting Mexican governmental authorities, Odumbo, et al, unilaterally armed known killers and thugs with high-powered weapons enabling them to perpetuate a murderous and devastating rampage throughout Mexico.

If so, the counter-ad is how women in the Odumbo administration only earn 82 cents for every dollar earned by a man in the Odumbo administration....LOL!
I really love how this debate kept the issue of Libya in the news headlines until the foreign policy debate....LOL! You can't draw it up yourself better than that! LOL!

Still, Romney won in other key areas:
*On who would better handle the economy: 58 percent Romney; 40 percent Obama.
*On who would better handle health care: 49 percent Romney; 46 percent Obama
*On taxes: 51 percent Romney; 44 percent Obama
*On who is a stronger leader: 49 percent Romney; 46 percent Obama

*On who cares more about your life: 44 percent Obama; 40 percent Romney
*On who answered more directly: 45 percent Romney; 43 percent Obama

Those are liberal numbers, so I think it understates Romney's success......but still, even with those numbers, how can anyone believe Romney lost that debate?!
HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
Odumbo could not defend his record nor did he articulate any plans for a second term......how to you do that and win a debate?!

Final Debate
I think that President Obama now has Romney's measure.
In these debates, being polite will simply not cut it.
You need to go for the jugular and pound your opponent into the mat.
The final debate is scheduled for this Monday, Oct 22.
. . . President Obama now only has to increase his intensity and win over the undecided voters.

As I read this thread I found it striking that Big Tex lives in a state that has zero chance of going to Obama, and I.B. Hankering lives in a state that has zero chance of going to Romney. Yet they spent two pages going back in forth with the same lousy arguments in support of two candidates that will essentially do the same thing if they get elected. This talk that the next debate will decide the election is hog wash. They will have minor disagreements over what amounts to semantics on Iraq and Afghanistan, yet make them sound like the others point of view will end the world. They will argue over whether or not war in Iran is a good idea, yet conveniently neither one will rule it out or go all in. Romney will attack Obama about the poor handling of Libya and Obama will claim that Romney spoke to soon before all the facts were in.
Big fricken deal. In the end neither one will say anything earth shattering. Now if one of them wants to come out and say that for the last 100 years the US has grown progressively worse on foreign policy and that we need to return to our roots for Foreign policy. We need to remove ourselves from all military alliances, return our troops to the United States, maintain a strong Navy as a deterrent, and mind our own fucking business unless we are attacked. Then and only then will I actually consider voting for them. Until then they will continue to be nothing more than the 2 heads of a one party system.

In the Rose Garden speech Obama referred to heroes buried at Arlington in connection with terrorism. Since the bodies were still in Germany or Italy and maybe the SEALs would be buried in Arlington Obama was clearly talking about an earlier terrorist action. He was talking about 9/11, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Face it, Obama lied to the American people, he sent his ambassador out to lie to the American people, he went in front of the UN and told the world that he was willing to throw the freedom of speech under the bus to protect the feelings of Mohammed. He then continued the lie for two weeks and arrested a man guilty of making a movie. Bumps in the road is what he called our dead ambassador, intelligence officer, and two navy SEALs. Hardly an optimum condition. Obama flat out lied at the debate and seemed to have Candy to run interference for him on a couple of things like his pension, AK-47s, and Benghazi. The fork is ready and just waiting for November 6th to stick it in.
