Since I received my concealed carry license many years ago I have been stopped about 4 or 5 times. Once I produced my CCL the officers actually got friendlier every single time. Of the 4 or 5 stops, one resulted in a ticket in Nevada. All the Texas ones ended in warnings. Most street cops are pro-gun. They also know someone with a CCL has passed a criminal background check and a proficiency test with him or her firearm. As a former competition handgun shooter, the test is rather easy but is sufficient challenging to prove one is competent.
