Oh don't sugar coat it DG. You're not talking about insurance...your talking about health care. Free health care...that's what we really talk about.
Insurance makes it sound...uh, like it doesn't really cost anything.

No I think we were talking about what to do in a blizzard. I mentioned about being thankful for to have a place out of the cold. You boys ranted with a thread hijack from there.
Talk about how well the snow is packing for snowballs or what drink you're pouring as the snow is coming down or rooting for which team while the snow swirls.....

RK, you are correct; I should have said healthcare.

Blizzard? What's that? Something you won't have to worry about when you get to Nawlins, Ms. Jordan.

+1
Now back on topic. It may not be a blizzard here in Houston yet too cold for me all the same. Whenever the temp drops below 40F I am a willing prisoner of my home. If my child is home we have a boardgame marathon, take the time to bake something from scratch, dress up and run around the house playing like maniac's. LOL
If I am home alone, I play on ECCIE and read and watch sci-fi movies in the nude with the fire place going and a warm fleece blanket and a bottle of shiraz.

I know with all the adults here (and those in the South), this will seem a little off the subject.
One of my favorite memories as a child when it snowed was to join my friends outside, build a snow fort, break into teams, have a snowball fight, and maybe go sledding down a hill. But to cap off a couple of hours outdoors playing in the snow, there was nothing better than bringing my friends inside where my mom served us cookies and hot chocolate.

Or as we call it up north: Wednesday (or Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday/Tuesday).
As a Yankee snow was ever present growing up. We never knew the rarity of it falling in Atlanta, Texas or (shudder) Nawlins (didn't it snow there last year or the year before?). FWIW single digits on the thermometer this morning.

Yeah, 3 days of single digits temps in these parts. Bunch of school snow days as well. Toss in MLK as a day off as well and I suspect there is a lot of cabin fever going around at the moment.
CT: yes, hot chocolate did make everything seem much warmer; almost pity those who live in places that there is rarely any snow.
