Free Range Providers vs. Nevada

I know that Nevada has "legalized" brothels, but the setup and conditions are so onerous that that legalization basically amounts to a scam.

I assume that most of the prostitution activity in Nevada is with non state sanctioned providers. Is this right?

What I wonder is, "are independent providers harassed more in Nevada than in other states because they're competing with the system?"

I have been to some brothels in NV - last was 5-6 yrs ago granted - and had a great time. Not a scam at all.

I wouldn't call it a scam, but I would call it overpriced from what I've heard that they charge.

I dont think we get harassed more here in Nevada, well at least not here in Vegas anyways. I mean for the most part things are tolerated because most visitors expect prostitution here and so its way more tolerated. Like for example, where else can you go and just see 100's of working girls in casinos??? DAILY!!

I do think that overall, a lot more girls are getting arrested here in Vegas than other places. Vice seems to focus mostly on the streets and casinos. When they do hit the internet, they seem to hit Backpage a lot now. CL was also a big target.

I don't think that this is because of the brothels throwing a fit so much as the huge pimp/scam problem that we have here. Check out this newspaper article from last year.

I agree with Logan....it is true that Nevada had legalized prostitution in all but two Counties...Clark and Washue...However, the main issue in Las Vegas is underage prostitution and the scams and robs.

There are a ton of folks that will just simply rob you in Las Vegas or send an underage girl to you...Both make me sick and are not part of the true hobby....

As a board, we need to out these folks and warn our folks that come into Vegas!
