If you are TRULY interested in adult film, you MUST work with an agency to be successful. Almost all porn is shot in So CA, with some content shot in Miami and New york. Production companies go to the agencies' websites to book talent, they don't take submitted pics or hold 'auditions'. Furthermore, there are hundreds of production companies (some good, and some shady or unsafe) , and trying to contact them all yourself is impossible. An agency will send out a mass email, announcing your available dates (to reputable, and safe companies) drive you to go-sees, your shoots, provide housing, and often will even pay a portion of your flight and testing costs. I recommend going to Miami or New york first, as La is a completely different ballgame. The money is running your own web site with your own porn. I have a friend in Atlanta who has made a fortune shooting vids for girls and the girls make really great money as well. There is GREAT money in this, but.....

1. It's ALOT of hard work
2. You still CANNOT do this on your own
3. It's VERY expensive to get started as you have to pay someone to shoot content, edit content, webmasters, other talent....etc

Bentley I personally know people in the biz; more on the directing /production side of the biz rather than the performers (some of whom I have met). Let me tell you first of all the biz is extremely tough and hugely competitive. There is NO Glamour in it. It is Extremely hard work and there is a huge amount of BS to put up with. Start off by obtaining an agent (there are several reliable ones out there); you could still live here; although you would have to commute for work when shooting (typically 3-4 days at a time)... Be prepared to meet a ton of jerks all of whom will want to fuck you for nothing before you see any payoff. keep in mind once it out there; it out there and there is no turning back.
My advice- stay doing what you are doing; for every image of a rainbow with a pot of gold in the porn industry there are a million very sad tales...

The fact that the entire industry comes to a halt when one actor tests positive, is a good thing, and shows how serious they take it. According to the link, even Wicked, who's performers always use condoms in front of the camera, has stopped production, until the actors history & partners can be walked back.

If they said "so what, it's only one guy", THAT would be bad. Considering this has only happened 3 times in the last 12? years since AIM opened their doors, I'd say there's more risk in barebacking that cute bartender you've had your eye on.
