Banning ranges of addresses only serves to block out groups of potential users. Virtually alle Comcast transactions come through thier host router in one of 5 hub cities. You cannot ban to the 4th octet and do any good. You must ust the MAC address. You have 9 variables of 16 numbers or which the first three octets are fixed to a provider. The last is dynamically assigned by a router. Depending on the host route, it can be from anywhere. Wireless modems are even worse, as they usually switch through a billing and validation hub and then route. If a user is abusive turn them off. I have a static address and I have received countless accusations from a provider that should have them banned. I would love to forward them to someone who can ban them. Use of personal information gained in this hobby should never be used for harassment and be grounds for immediate dismissal permanately. Being that I have a static address assigned by the internic, you will find that I was not the offender. I would like this reviewed and once I am absolved like to see disciplinary action against the provider. This is not her first offense, but should be her last.

Administrators, please PM me so that we can resolve this in an amicable manner. This board can be a great service, but I am sure that through research the discussed messages, (that I cannot find), cannot be attributed to me or my machine. I am open to your research. I think, just as users are banned for abuse, providers should be subject with the same sanctions. Does anyone understand the amount of information these providers have on us? They can destroy our lives.

P-411 is nice, but not secure. It would be great to have a neutral third party forwarding service that if you would like to visit a provider they could act as a simple call forwarding or e-mail forwarding switch, protecting the privacy of both individuals.

Please research the claims from the provider and PM me. Then I will forward he mails and her threats. You can look at the truth and decide. I know all about IP spoofing, but there is a way around that. Provider's name withheld to protect her until her guilt is verified.
