I trust my mother.

And even she is borderline.

Duh. No. But the Democrats are telling the lie that government can be a force for good.

Be very afraid.

We can trust the Government that is grounded in our Constitution, but have great distrust for those in power.

Compared to who? I'm not generally inclined to trust much of anybody. But between trusting the government and an insurance company with a vested financial interest in screwing me, I'll trust the government. Between trusting the government and someone who has a vested interest in an issue to regulate themselves, I'll generally trust the government. It all depends on the context.

Not just no but hell no.
Not the government that it has become.
I would trust those that operated our govenment the way it was set forth in the Constitution.

Hell no!! Government only watches out for itself. Politicians are bought, he'll they don't even have to abide to some of the laws they make.

NO.

The Government is more sinister and is to be trusted less. I understand the insurance company doesn't have my interest. I know it is an adversarial relationship I have with my insurance company, that they will do the minimal required under our contract. The government on the other hand has no contract, can do whatever it wants and we have very little recourse over the actions of low, mid and upper level federal bureaucrats.

Company CEOs don't fear government regulators; but they are scared shitless of an SOB lawyer with a good case and sympathetic jury.

Default imagine, if you will, WTF in charge of a guillotine and his little laughing smiley faces as he went about his insanity

i dont trust the government no matter who is in charge...the ppl are looking out for themselves, their jobs, their climb up the ladder, their days off, their benefits or whatever it is...the government is too big to care or protect people. they dont have to please the customer unlike businesses although insurance companies on the claims side do suck too sometimes, not all but some

think about ruby ridge or waco...

imagine someone like van jones running things...

think about some federal prosecutor getting his spurs while trying to destroy you

i had occasion to have been subpoenaed and submit data and files to the
federal prosecutor here through the fbi. in their offices i could see the wheels churning thinking how they could get me too while they questioned me and went through their check list of things they had subpoenaed, in the elevator going down, two junior prosecutors were laughing abt some case..and the image i got was how they thought they were so powerful

I don't trust the government either. They lie to everyone all the time.
