is it worth investing in rockets season tickets?

I was thinking about buying a pair of season tickets for the rockets.they going for about $1400.just wondering from the people who are the usual season ticket holders, do yall make your money back plus some extra change on top of that? I am only really plannig watching 15 games tops.so im just looking to make profit plus some games i get to watch.or is it not even worth the trouble looking for buyers for the tickets?using craigslist,fb, and maybe this site to sell some.any input?? Thanks!!

Invest? IMHO only if they give you a signicant deal off list or if you would enjoy seeing them play.

You might be able to sell them, but I had friends last year who could not give away their tickets at times.

I use to go to a few games a year but have not recently as I am not a fan of Morey's "anyones disposable" roster strategy.

They got Lin exactly for that , there is a large Asian community here and they say how Yao was so popular. Lin I hope is better than he has been or the honemoon won't last long.He was great in about 20 games then injured , No wonder the Rockets picked him up , they need to cut the GM.He's great at signing second tier players and washed up stars.

Any indication what rockets set the face value of the all star game tickets? One on-line site had all star tickets as $500 top and $1000 upper floor.

johnny, you might be able to sell your tix for some of the higher-profile teams for a bit more than face value - IF and only IF they are very good seats. But then, you don't get to see the best teams when they are here.
There is very, very little chance that you can sell enough of them to recoup your expense of the games that you want to enjoy.
Going to the games costs money - big money (trust me on that, sir) and if you don't enjoy being there in person all that much, then I would pass.
Just my .02 cents worth.

I stopped watching the NBA when it became little more than street ball.
Not even a good show.
You would do better investing in professional wrestling....

Last season I got free NBA tickets with great seats and turned a lot of them down..no way would I invest in season tickets....ijs...now give me some football tickets and that's a different story...

YOu may make a deal if they have a run and Lin plays a role in it. Plus with the parking passes, someone will find it a great deal.....especially Lin fans.
