I said billion.
And here's an ABC article saying the cost to taxpayers was half of the 2.7.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=95650&page=1
This article in the Wash. Post says the London games will cost between 17 and 19 billion .
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...paPX_blog.html
I think I agree with COG. I'd prefer they were self financed but that's not gonna happen. We should think long and hard though before hosting another games.

So you're saying that, as part of his argument he made a valid point. Correct?

I wouldn't exactly call five statements an argument. Without a little more context I find it a little difficult to discern a larger meaning. But I'm sure you'll enlighten us. The floor is yours.

Based on the fact there's an "R" after his name I made an assumption. But I could be wrong.
What's your assumption?

I'm in favor of a national health care safety net program that would be available to all who choose to participate for instance. Let's just be clear about the financing. Let's say, add a $.75 tax on fossil fuels and couple that with some efforts to bring down those fuel's pre-tax costs to minimize the pain.

I do agree with that ...

Shucks. Anyone who claims the Holocaust happened upsets the "Palestinians". So Sensia, do you believe the Holocaust is a "Big Lie"?
Hamas official Fawzi Barhoum, expressing the Islamic militant group's position, claimed Wednesday that the Holocaust "is a big lie."
. . . . Many Palestinians fear that if they acknowledge the Holocaust, they will diminish their own suffering, including their uprooting during Israel's 1948 creation and decades under Israeli occupation.

You do not read well, CBJ7. You misattributed the originators of both the Olympics remark and the Palestine remark.
