Since it was lent to us, exactly who should have returned it that would have been acceptable to you? And when? Exactly. Give us a date.
And secondly, just how many Churchill busts should be in the WH.

The loan was to the Bush Administration. The Brits offered to extend the loan to the Obama Administration. Instead of being gracious, Obama chose to pack it up and thumb his nose at the Brits. He should have just let it be. When and if the Brits wanted the bust back, they'd have asked for it.
The loan was a gesture of good will; nothing more, nothing less. Fine, don't like the guy, put the bust in the closet, chew with your mouth closed and be POLITE.
WTF, you are correct. He did issue an apology, but what an apology it was! But, since he's so fond of apologizing on behalf America and the American people, he's so in touch that way, that perhaps he should have apologized for embarrassing us with his political faux pas. Not all of us have daddies that were jailed by the Brits. Some of us even consider them, wait for it, wartime allies.
