America is still in denial. Like a good con job the victim goes through the same stages when the con is revealed. Obama is being revealed and his supporters are still in denial.

Damn, first I agree with StupidOldFart, now I agree with Turdfly! American lost "exceptional" status during the spring of 2003 when George W. Bush made the ill fated decision to lose focus upon the perpetrators of 9/11. We are currently on our way to to reclaim "exceptional" status but the hole GW left us in was deep and very difficult to dig ourselves out of!

I remember that evening. I worked as a counselor at a Boy Scout Camp. Yep filthy mouthed me was a Boy Scout, and I'm damn proud of it. Anyway, all the camp staff assembled in the mess hall with any campers that wanted to watch, and we did watch ABC, Jules Bergman was a good reporter, and we all stood and cheered, when Neil Armstrong, uttered his famous words... and made JFK's dream come true.

Charles Bolden, a retired United States Marines Corps major-general and former astronaut, said in an interview with al-Jazeera that Nasa was not only a space exploration agency but also an "Earth improvement agency".
Mr Bolden said: "When I became the Nasa administrator, he [Mr Obama] charged me with three things.
"One, he wanted me to help reinspire children to want to get into science and math; he wanted me to expand our international relationships; and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering."
He added: "It is a matter of trying to reach out and get the best of all worlds, if you will, and there is much to be gained by drawing in the contributions that are possible from the Muslim [nations]."
Byron York, a conservative columnist for the Washington Examiner, characterised Mr Obama's space policy shift as moving "from moon landings to promoting self-esteem"

You don't have to kill the Muslims, just kill their shariah law and their treatment of women.
Yesterday I was at a check out stand at Target and then there was this Muslim guy, in a polo, shorts and wearing Nike's. behind him was his wife, dressed from top to bottom in a black dress, leaving only a tiny space for her eyes only.
This is the guy that should be killed instantly. Don't even think about it, just shoot him in his head.

It happens all the time regardless of the party. We (independents) were so sick of W we were really hoping for hope and change now we are sick of O so will vote the other way.In four years we will probably be sick of Romney.Unless the partisanship changes in Washington. They need to change the name from Washington to Stupidville.

I recall the Moon landing very well. it was a special moment in American history. At the time, I had graduated from Jump School (Airborne) a couple of weeks earlier and was home on leave. I watched the historic event on my parents TV. Later that evening, I recall walking into their back yard and gazing up at the moon. It was a clear night and I remember thinking to myself that an American was the first person to actually walk on the moons surface and he had done so on that very day. From my perspective, it was a memorable WOW moment!
A few short weeks later, I was assigned to the 173rd in Binh Dinh Province. That following April, Apollo 13 was sent on a follow up manned moon mission and I had absolutely no knowledge of the near tragic events surrounding Apollo 13, until I saw the movie 20+ years later. Truth be known, I do not recall Apollo 12 either! When I watched the movie about Apollo 13 for the very first time, it was yet another WOW moment. The difference being that it was a WOW moment 20+ years after the fact! I recall thinking to myself, how did I not know about this historic event?
I suppose it goes to show you that from my narrow perspective, the only WOW moment going on at the time was occurring in Binh Dinh Province.

There was good reception where I was in Waco Texas, but the picture from the surface of the moon was so grainy anyway I couldn't make out what was going on. Then Armstrong said, " ...and one giant step for mankind." And something blurry moved on the screen, and then text came on the bottom reading, "Man Walks On The Moon!" but I still couldn't make out where Armstrong was cuz the picture was so bad.

A narrow focus shared by too many today. Today I was speaking to a guy who thinks he is aware of what is going on around him. I asked him about Fast and Furious and he said it had something to do with Mexican guns. I asked him about Ms Abedin and he asked who? I asked him a few other things and all I got was a blank look. I told him and another that I could go on a hooker board and find prostitutes who know all about what I was asking. I told the ex army guy that there are some pretty smart women in the business.

JD - That behavior is typical of about 80% of Americans, which is scary. Most think that because you speak Spanish, you're Mexican, and because you're Asian you must be Chinese. The "entertainment" provided to American kids has actually worked - it's given us a dumb society. But don't ask them who are the Kardashians, because they will tell you who they are what they do and what happened in their last episode. Pretty sad actually.
