Democrat strategists are developing a theme equating the evil antagonist in the new Batman movie, named "Bane", with their perceived weakness in the Romney campaign, his association with the venture capital firm, "Bain Capital". (Get it? "Bane" "Bain"? Do I have to explain everything?)
From the article:
"It has been observed that movies can reflect the national mood," said Democratic advisor and former Clinton aide Christopher Lehane. "Whether it is spelled Bain and being put out by the Obama campaign or Bane and being out by Hollywood, the narratives are similar: a highly intelligent villain with offshore interests and a past both are seeking to cover up who had a powerful father and is set on pillaging society," he added.
There is no mention in the article whether this will bring the regrettable association of the President with the "hero" of the movie, unsettlingly called "The Dark Knight". Not sure the Democrats have thought this out very well.
