Medicare/GME also funds the staff/facilities at these training hospitals.

Liken it to baseball:

But the residents are REQUIRED to treat medicaid/medicare patients right? And the hospitals and residents are REQUIRED to treat patients even if they aren't going to pay right? That's the reason they are a publicly funded hospital and can't turn people away. That's what this outcry is about, we are going to be REQUIRED to treat people the least profitable people.

Here's a major part of the analogy you forgot: If you are caught playing baseball without a license the govt is going to throw you in jail.

how many of those people that go to publically funded hospitals and get free healthcare will be able to afford insurance policies and wont be getting free healthcare any longer ..

there is an answer to that question, do you hav any idea what it is?
