I do agree that we need serious term limits. I think that should include any elected position even that of the Supreme Court Judges. I also believe that those in elected positions are paid too much money, and are given too much period. Another thing I'd like to see is the more they spend to get elected, the less they receive in pay and benefits. If they can spend millions of dollars to get elected to a position that pays $150K, they don't need a salary, retirement benefits, free gym, staff allowance or expense account.

Although I agree, neither unions nor companies should be allowed to donate to political parties. We have a big problem in the UK because the unions provide a large part of Labour party funding. I would ban both. Plus funding political parties should be out of taxed income.
