I have a rule against seeing remakes, but I'll have to admit that when I finally did see "True Grit", I was impressed.

The remake that seriously pissed me off was Steve Martin in the Pink Panther. No one could improve on Peter Sellers.

Hard to get motivated to go to the movie house, usually wait until the dvds come out. After reading the "Hunger Games", a book I didn't really think I would like, I can't wait to see the movie.

It is bad enough that JJ Abrams had to re-boot Star Trek using an alternate Kirk, Spock, etc. Now, I have to remember these are 2 different time lines. That is somewhat bearable given Star Trek has always dabbled with alternate universes and timelines going all the way back to the Mirror, Mirror episode of the original series. Also, alternate timelines is a JJ Abrams "specialty". Can anyone say Fringe? OMG, he has 3 alternate timelines going with that series. Oh, I digress....
