Personal Assistants, question to both Ladies and Gentlemen
With summer just around the corner I am beginning to tour more (anything to escape hot humid New York lol) and to simplify life on the road have hired a personal touring assistant.
My personal experience so far is YAY! I could not believe how stress free and relaxing my last trip was. As opposed to looking for small fury animal to strangle by the end of first day I was calm and well rested.
So my question to other ladies and to gentlemen. What are your thoughts on the subject? Positive/negative experiences?

As long as it actually assists the lady, I have no issues.

I know of pornstars/traveling ladies to have one. If you travel the majority of the year I can see it being a real need. Pinky has a two PAs, one travels with her at all times and the other handles the business & booking end.

You have a case where you have a booker, that is your employee, or someone you have contracted with to do specific work for you.
The other model in this industry, is that the lady works for someone else, and is not really the person running the business. This tends to result in problems emerging over time. Not most gents first choice to deal with such situations.

Some assistants screw up the appointment times and dates. One time, I scheduled a two hour appointment and the assistant scheduled it as a hour. Initially, I thought I brain farted. Since I requested it thru p411 there was a paper trail. Another assistant got the days mixed up, again the error was not on my end.
With the above examples, how was the assistant assisting? Those two instances required several phones calls between the provider and myself to correct. The first I went through with the appointment. The second instance, there was no appointment and I will not see the lady because of it.
In the future, I have promised myself that if the appointment gets screwed up and its not my fault I will move on. I want to enjoy myself and not deal with the business practices of others.

This isn't so different from what happens when ladies book with certain agencies. The agency does the booking, scheduling, screening, and often even the travel and hotel reservations. I should think PAs (in this or any business) can be a godsend or just the opposite depending on their personality and attention to detail, especially if they deal directly with your clients. Be very specific with your PA when it comes to contacting clients. I refuse to see several providers who I had long standing relationships with because of thoughtless, unprofessional communications from their PA.

Part of the fantasy in all this -- at least to me -- is I'm meeting this one of a kind vixen who, at least for our time together, wants only to be with me (LOL). Well, I'd like to think so. Still, the more romantic, the more personal touch...the better. Kinda hard to make a pre-date connection going thru a switch board.
I was traveling to NYC about a year ago, and got up the courage to see the then #1 TER provider. I was afraid I'd be another one in a long line. "Next" so to speak. All business. I couldn't have been more wrong.
She called me 3 times....THREE TIMES....prior to our date just to talk. Who does that? When we met, it wasn't Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am, but instead....it was like a date. Shoot....she even asked ME to dinner afterwards.
Now....how would this have gone had she had a personal assistant.
I'm not saying they don't provide a value, or with some girls, they are a necessity (I know one PA who answers all emails as if it's from the provider). But it kills the personal touch....and makes this business even more about business.

While I understand why a lady would want a booker or assistance more often than not, if it's a guy, it's usually her pimp, based on what I have experienced with other girls who did have male assistants or managers. As for me, no matter how busy I get, I prefer to do all my own booking and background checking. But that is just IMHO.

This is why I have complete access to her emails and can see at any time how she is communicating with my patrons.

Well, when I am home in NYC (and I may not be #1 but definitely on that NYC's top 100 list) I handle all my communication personally. There is great deal of difference between home base and touring scheduling, screening and time constrains.

I am with you on this one, but I think in my case having another lady who is also a provider makes a little difference. Also, as I said above, I have complete access to her email account while I am touring, so I can always double check to make sure I am comfortable.

The one time I had an assistant although for a very brief two week period...it was an absolute disaster....I will not be repeating and like to be in total control of my appointments, scheduling, ads etc
