nightclubs: don't bother. Unless you're getting a VIP host to usher you in past the long regular and VIP lines or picking up bottle/table service, just not worth the wait. One exception I'd throw in would be some line dancing place like Gilley's or Stoney's. The other twist would be to hit a gay friendly club (there's a small cluster of them south of the Hard Rock Casino and Krave is attached to Planet Hollywood).
dayclubs: usually less crowded, dress code is very relaxed. They still try and limit the options on sitting without paying for a lounge chair or cabana so finding a comfortable spot to sit may be difficult. The sun helps show off the sexier looking ones.
strip club: Posh attached to Crazy Horse 3. Deja Vu Showgirls tries to do an afterhours on weekends. On weekends, Vince Neil's Girls Girls Girls has live bands (Spazmatics on Friday, Sin City Sinners on Saturdays; both cover bands) so you get to dance if you want.
