It's a great analogy and you know it. African-Americans (OJ's peers) applauded the OJ verdict, even though they knew he was obviously guilty, because they wanted revenge for past injustice. They were happy to see a black celebrity get away with murdering two white people. If a white celebrity had murdered two black people and a predominantly white jury had voted not guilty with that level of evidence, blacks would have burned the citites. So you say Wright has the approval of his peers; so what.
The fact that Jeremiah Wright, a supposed man of God, would stand in front of his congregation and say God damn America is outrageous. In any legitimate church he would have fired and probably defrocked. I'd be willing to bet his congregation probably gave him a standing ovation. If Obama was there I'm sure he was delighted.
