bboy?
Now, I am not saying that the ECCIE user "bboy" is LE, but I was "bboy" on aspd, ...a long standing member. A vouched member. ...and before I could register here, some one swooped in (VERY recently) and registered the username "bboy."
it is kinda fishy. If I were LE, I would register all the old-timer aspd usernames here before anyone else could. It could just be flattery that someone else registered as bboy here, but I think we all need to be aware of this possible practice.

This kind of thing is going to happen.
The question is, did he get vouched as the old you?
I was happily surprised to see my handle available.
But, I am more difficult to copy........and, who would want to?
We need "handle fight club". Damn, that would be so cool.

I was going to take dearhunter, but I typed deerhunter, and well, dearhunter was still able to get his name here.
Personally, I don't think LE would target somebody's screen name to register. I think it was either a coincidence, or somebody messing with you.

I've been thinking about this, considering all the LE issues in Houston. Not sure anymore if I believe that LE would register long-standing usernames. Probably just coincidence, but I'd love to know how LE is using ASPD's closing to their advantage.
Anyway, not much importance in a username. My regular providers will vouch for me pretty quickly. Looking forward to the next community taking off.
