Also forgot ( how could I ) to mention the other hobby: I am an avid reader. Of everything.
A majority of my collection is silver age and 70's. I have a few EC horror books I was a weird kid and took care of my comics like they were books. I was bagging and boarding them when I was 8.

I have a lot of horror comics such as House of Mystery, House of Secrets, The Unexplained, and Weird War. They were given to me by a cousin who had a boxful of them and I love horror. Currently I have a lot of Clive Barker comics, ( Hellraiser, The Breed) graphic novels ( which are comics essentially) of Berserk, a Japanese anime ( and very horrifying), From Hell, * which the movie is based*) and horror anthologies like GoreShriek and Taboo. And I also have the entire set of The Sandman, by Neil Gaiman
and a lot of Top Cow's WITCHBLADE series. I recently purchased a compilation of the House of Mystery comics in book format, and a version of Grimm's Fairy Tales ( set in modern-day events...i.e. like the new series on tv, Once Upon a Time)

It was a great series. I'm so glad that Gaiman was able to bring the story to a good conclusion.

I actually wrote one of my final college papers during senior year on the entire series.

I have a fairly complete run of Sandman. I'm missing #2-8. My favorite Sandman story is the 1st Death mini series, The High Cost Of Living. Something about that story really spoke to me.

I loved HOM when I was a kid. It was so bizzare. I'm going to see if Amazon has that hardback.

Ava, have you read Watchmen?

I believe some studio was trying to get a movie made of The High Cost Of Living a few years back.

I love reading about everyone's interests and 'other hobbies'

Sexymaid that sounds like fun...I love yard sales and thrift stores/fleamarkets as you can find some really awesome stuff there. Love old classic movies too.

Never read Watchmen. Was there a movie by the same title>

I liked the High Cost of Living. My other favorite being a cat lover is the Dreamworld of Cats. ( I think that's the title, I don't have my comics with me here in Austin). The story features a female Siamese cat whose kittens get drowned by her 'owner' and her quest for the Sandman in cat form to answer her questions about 'why'. It's an interesting look on the human/cat relationship needless to say LOL.

I love playing my guitars. Anything from Metallica to Taylor Swift. I just feel better every time I sit down to play! I enjoy golfing while traveling to new places. I got paired up with a guy in Albuquerque one time who didn't tell me he was a priest until the sixth hole! I about fainted! Trying to think what all I've said over the last hour. LOL!! True Story!

I also enjoy live music. And, of course, anything to do with cooking and eating, which is the state pass time here in Louisiana!
