That is why others are calling bs on your work. You are taking advantage of people. Your work is not worth $400 AND you know it.

Wix is simple enough once built yes most anyone can make simple changes.

I spend on average any where from 30 to 40 hours start to finish including the interview process to build these sites. Now It seems to me you lady's time is worth upwards of $200 & $300 an hour... so I think my $300 - $400 for spending 30 or 40 hours doing something for someone that I truly take seriously and make every effort to fulfill their expectations is quiet fair.

Also anyone I have ever approached to do this for has the right to decline but they have always felt they got what they wanted and were fairly compensated for the money they spent.

BUT...Mostly Ava just wanted to get something for herself that she could not do for herself and feel good about it. I don't think we need to poo poo on her parade and make her feel stupid by saying she got ripped off. She is excited about her new lease on life...Lets be excite for her too!

Now I don't say that what I do is for everyone...Many of you want to build your own site and that's great... I am just here to help those who want what I offer.... Just like yall.

Sometimes, people just want to pay for convenience. They don't want to learn or take the time to learn how to do a website. I don't think the point is whether or not Ava could have done it herself, it's that she didn't want to do it herself.
I think as long as Ava is happy is what counts.

Then the chick shouldn't advertise as a professional designer because she's not. Her ad should say something like "Don't have the time to create your own website? I'll do it for you fast and easy" since convenience is the perk rather than claiming to be a professional designer/ build a professional website for her customers. I agree wholeheartedly that sometimes people pay for convenience but the ladies didn't have to pay $400 for this. There are a few ladies that would have helped them out at very little to no cost. $400 is quite steep. As long as she's advertising on this site she deserves to be called out. The public should be alerted when they are being scammed. Consider the fact that this kind of nonsense would not be allowed in the real world. She would be on the news so fast for scamming/misleading/being deceptive - it's not even funny. A 10 year old could have created those sites. There's nothing special or unique about them for one to pay such amount of money unless her customers were feeling extra generous.

Anyways, If Ava is happy that is all that matters. I hate seeing people get taken advantage of. And it's downright disgusting to think it's Ok. My website costs me only $14 a month and I did it all myself. Ladies please take the time out and learn these things so you're not taken advantage of again.

As far as I know there was no weapon involved and Tia didn't sneak up behind Ava. That's true. But I think what some people have an issue with is that even IF Ava understood what she was getting, other ladies may not, because the descriptions are still misleading on a few points.

1. She goes out of her way to stress that you get a 'fully-custom' design, "not a site where 200 other providers have your same template". But actually, anyone can go to wix and pick the same template, same colors, and have the same site. Her own website is one of the basic templates shown on the front page of wix. So to say repeatedly that these are not cookie-cutter sites, and are fully custom, seems a bit misleading.

2. The total price is not $400. Domain name and hosting are extra, and a $50 monthly fee kicks in 2 months later, regardless of whether or not you ever need any changes done, from what I understand. These things are stated on the site, to be fair, but they're buried pretty deep in the text.

3. Something that hasn't been mentioned is the security aspect. Big commercial companies like wix and godaddy are all about tracking and profiling users, so they can sell the info to other companies or serve targeted ads to users. For a regular business website, that may not be a big deal. But in this industry, most ladies are trying to stay under the radar as much as possible, and so are the gents that come to their sites and fill out their forms. Just something to keep in mind if you're thinking of building a site on one of those platforms, or hiring a company that does so.

I don't think anyone's trying to be mean here, just point some things out. On a side note, the idea of offering to handle ladies' emails and phones, while still actively working yourself, seems like a bit of a conflict of interest. I've been working with this industry a long time, and I know how long it takes to build a client list. Only to hire someone for screening services, then that person takes off with the list and starts contacting the clients, for themselves or their girlfriends. Not accusing anyone here! Just saying it's something to think about, and please do some research before turning over your whole business to someone you don't know.

( here's a little info...no matter who builds your site it has to be hosted and all hosting companies can track who is using their site. But HEAR this they are not tracking your clients. Clients you are as safe using one of my clients sites or any other provider who uses Wix or any other hosting company including who ever GGM uses!. My contact forms are built elsewhere BTW. OH and....You think Rare Escorts doesn't sell your info...their sites are free to most how do you think they make their money. I can assure you there are way more rare escort site through out the world that providers use than there are wix. But that being said ALL WEBSITES ARE HOSTED BY SOME COMPANY! and that company probably sells it's info.)

Over the last 5 years that I have been a provider I am constantly being told that this business is cut throat and skeezy but I always tried to see the better side of it. I have met some amazing providers.

I have always been ( or at least I thought I had been) a respected provider
( respected by other providers as well as clients). One with character and integrity and I certainly try to apply the same principles when offering my help to other providers. I am starting to feel like respect and provider may be some kind of oxymoron here. All I have ever wanted to do as a provider and a service provider to other providers was help to raise the level of integrity in this business. But I think you missed the point that says THE $50 per month is optional and the part where I will teach them how to maintain themselves if they wish. Yes hosting is extra but it's half the cost the first year of what Wix actually charges and it isn't burried anywhere it's right there at the bottom of the list of all you get.

But I am so glad you cleared everything up for folks. As for my site being a template on the front page of wix...yes I saw a template I liked but it my friggin site and I didn't charge anybody else for my site...so no harm no foul.
Honestly all sites look alike in some way or another even your sites resemble others or could easily be copied....There are many many configuration of sites but they all have backgrounds, navigation button, photos,,,,,etc etc but I glad you cleared everything thing up for everyone.
