Yes, Republicans and Democrats are uniting, again, to "protect the children." The selling point of this bill is that it will help identify users and purveyors of pictures unsuitable for adult audiences. Hooray! Who would be against that? Wonderful! Let's get rid of those folks, they are a stain on society.
But wait! What else does the bill do? It will track and record EVERY SITE that EVERYONE visits! So of course, it will catch the targeted "bad guys" but it will also provide information about dissidents, protesters, and political opponents. In other words, everything about you. Passwords, identifying data, virtually EVERYTHING!
This is bipartisan, folks! It needs to be stopped in a bipartisan manner, too.
