I have no idea is the quote you claim was made really was or not. However, there is a great deal of fracturing of late in what used to be the Taliban. Strictkly speaking, the Taliban now may not be our enemy, although various splinter groups from the Taliban, including, but not limited to Al Faath and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan very clearly are.
