LOL! Actually this is the first time he has blamed a predecessor and been right!

It's funny, since he does seem to patterning his administration after Nixon, what with the lying, secrecy, enemies list, and John Mitchell Jr. as AG, et. al. But NOAA should be in the Interior Department, I agree.

But in one key point he's worse. Nixon didn't throw subordinates under the bus the way this guy does.

I started this and meant to link to my wise-ass post about it all being Nixon's fault, but can't find the thread I said it in.

Arguably, Nixon's greatest failing was he tried to protect his subordinates who did wrong.

Exclamation Devious Nixon Mind

Nixon had too many flaws to even list, but he did have an "enemies list" which speaks volumes of how his devious mind operated.

I have often wondered how such a fucked-up individual ever made it to the highest office in the country.

He was so obsessed with power that he never recognized his neurosis much less work on facing his inner demons.

. . . Proclaiming to the world "I am not a crook" as he famously said is really pretty much an admission of guilt.

Quite right. Nixon didn't have any direct knowledge beforehand of Watergate, it was way below his level. But out of misguided loyalty he tried to stonewall it and it cost him his Presidency. Had he just throw G. Gordo and the rest under the bus he most likely could have survived the scandal. But let's not lionize Nixon too much after all he wasn't called "Tricky Dick" for nothing.

Apparently you didn't really read what I wrote. The comments were about Obama throwing subordinates under the bus and I said that Nixon (who had many faults) had many of his problems because he did just the opposite. Care to argue that point and not get sidetracked?

.....

You know Barack Obama was compiling an enemies list and was asking others to turn in there fellow Americans? http://www.greeleygazette.com/press/?p=11099

The site:
www.attackwatch.com

Also the Washington Post wrote an article recently reporting the Obama White House engaged in a payback game for reporters who weren't playing along with the Demomedia role: http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifest...TAP_story.html

So you're right FastGunn, I wonder how such a fucked up individual made it to the White House.
