EscortDesign is less cookie-cutter & less cartoonish which is more appealing, in my opinion.

As someone who offers custom designs, I have to respectfully disagree with your suggestion that a custom site means a) you have to pay and arm and a leg, and b) you must pay your webmaster for every little change, and sometimes wait days/weeks. That may be true for some companies but it's not necessarily a general rule for custom designs..

My designs start at $500 (for Eccie members), and my clients are able to update their own text, calendar, links page, and gallery, via our simple admin area. A couple of snapshots are below, anyone wanting more info feel free to pm me for direct linx.

There are programs you can find online to help you do this, or you can do it yourself with an image editing program such as Photo Shop. It's VERY easy to to, pm me and we'll work something out.

Picnik & Photoscape are both free. Just add text to the photo. You can adjust the fade of the text on Picnik.
