Personally, I think it is a waste of space and money to put him in prison for however many years he will actually serve. What would be better would be if they were to seize his assets, put an ankle bracelet on him, and dole out of his own money the equivalent of 30 hours per week of minimum wage. In return, he should be doing community service, picking up trash, helping at homeless shelters and the like for 50 hours per week. He could see his wife and children on weekends, but couldn't stay with them. He will have to pay rent, buy clothes and food out of his 30 hours of pay. He could accept no gifts, except nominal Christmas and birthday gifts, limited to a value of $20.
This way, he might turn out to be a better person. Otherwise he will sit in prison, write a book, and when he gets out he will become a moderator on Fox or MSNBC.
