Old farts like me like Petrows at 60th and Center. They have great diner food and old fashion malts. Lots of nostalgia.

I love Johnny's Italian Steakhouse! There is one on Fleur next door to the Radisson Hotel and also on Mills Civic Pkwy inside the Holiday Inn! Flemmings is great too!

I give a strong second to livin2do's suggestions. Will ad Palmer's Deli for lunch, 3 locations, Clive, Ankeny, and in DSM on Ingersoll. Also Bravo at Jordan Creek for Italian.
