One difference from the old e.com (from the hobbyist side; don't know about the provider side) is that you pretty much have to buy a membership to get anything from the site (unlike e.com, where a free member could get at least minimal utility from the site). On the other hand, hobbyist memberships are almost nominally priced ($5/month) compared to memberships at a lot of other hobby sites, though I'm wondering if there's a catch...

It is illegal to request debit/credit card information from the customer, without the intent of charging the card. I request debit/credit card information from everyone who joins the site, for age verification, and wishes to make their profile searchable. One more thing, we are hosted in another country on a protected, private server, where all is legal.

I understand everyone's hesitation. But I am here to clear my name, explain everything to you, answer any questions, and hopefully make you feel a little more confident about the site, so we can make EscortsToo.com work for everyone. I am by no way finished with the site. There will be monthly upgrades to it with more amenities for everyone. I would really like to hear from everyone if you think of a good idea. Please don't hesitate to send me an email. I read every single one of them.

(Bluffcityguy - There is no catch. As a client member, you have access to everything. You can search and see contact info of all escorts, read and write reviews, send requests for Escort Okay's, etc. I hope you enjoy it as it grows!)

Pardon my cynicism, Grace (I come by it very honestly), but collecting credit card information claiming it's for "age verification" purposes is a pretty well known scam.

On the other hand, you are upfront saying you're charging for memberships, which none of those scams (to the best of my recollection) do. That makes me feel a bit more at ease. We'll have to see how things develop for a bit before I get off the fence.

I too am hesitant in giving out CC info just to join. I have not visitied the site simply because it seems from comments here that we, as clients, cannot see any info on the ladies without paying for it.

My suggestion, at least openly post the providers' personal websites. That way we can visit there and contact them from their own sites if we find ourselves interested. I also do not think ladies from backpage should be allowed to join if they do not think enough of themselves or the safety of clients to provide a website.

On another note, reviews, with rates paid and services offered as part of the requirement, seems very dangerous IMHO. As much as I like to know about a lady's performance, Reviews should not be a part of the site.
