I don't see anything wrong with that. I think it it great he's not trying to share his disease. He's had it for 20 years and is looking for someone who already has it so he doesn't infect anyone else. CDC says 1 in 5 women ages 14-49 have it and 1 in 9 men in the same age group have it. Its so common now that there are herpes dating sites.

I think its great. Nothing worse than a liar. I know a person that has HIV. He has had it for 8 years and will only date girls that has it also. He won't even have dinner with a lady that doesn't have it.

Hey, it doesn't seem like such a bad deal. In those TV commercials you always see them attractive peepz that are like.. i dunno.. water rafting, rock climbing, biking, running on a beautiful beach at sunset, touring european villages, shit like that

If I remember that CDC quote, those were only subjects who actually suffered active outbreaks. Recent studies point at the fact that the vast majority of people with both HSV1 and HSV2 never have outbreaks - and the only 100% accurate test that you have it is an active outbreak.

I'm all for honesty and I admire how your friend handles his relationships Jack. He seems to be doing it the right way and probably not posting on BP. Like it was said there are groups and websites that help those with STDs to find relationships and dates. But we're being short sited to think STDs are not part of this "hobby." We take that risk. It's inherent to the activity. We try our best to prevent it.

This is a hobby board and those of us participating on it understand this. I just thought it was comical that this guy is getting sympathy for posting in BP looking for an escort. Yeah it's great he's being honest, I get that. But I won't sit here and say that I admire the guy. Give me a break.

Obviously he is going to keep seeing escorts (just as everyone who already has it will probably continue to have sex). Since he IS going to keep seeing escorts don't you think it is better that he is seeking out those that are ALREADY INFECTED instead of calling me or you and sharing his disease with us??
