Default Any old tools sitting around not being used?

At the office, which is what I call my incall, we are just short of tools. And this includes the basic stuff as well. I need a screwdriver, hammer, etc. General tools that can be used to do simple household repairs.

And that includes ALL gardening implements. (We have a potentially gorgeous garden!) I'm going to start working on a perrenial garden in a few weeks and could use a rake, shovel, cutting tools, etc.

So if you're a friend of mine (or wish to become a new friend!) who has some tools sitting around collecting dust, I would really appreciate them being donated to my soon-to-have brand new toolbox!

That is, unless you HAVE a toolbox to donate to this cause! Then I would use that one!

Thanks for reading this unusual request. I've been looking at garage sales, etc., and honestly, I just don't wish to spend a whole bunch of money on these things that I know others have extra of.

Sincerely,
Elisabeth

My query certainly wasn't meant to imply that at all. Since you don't know me, perhaps you aren't aware of my intent. I'm very appreciative and I was generally asking for something that someone else didn't want or doesn't have a use for.

It's one of those win/win (gosh, what an old phrase!) situations, ideally.

If my posts bother you, please put me on ignore. Besides, this could be such a fun topic with a lot of jokes to be made.

Hopefully, others will take it as it was meant to be received.

Take care,
Elisabeth

I've actually needed some tools for awhile. My personal toolbox was lost in a moving shuffle a few years back and I was going to create a really cute ad about it.

Unfortunately, someone else has created a few ads with "tools" in the title and I don't wish to be a copy cat. But I was wondering if anyone would make a few jokes!

Again, this is a simple topic. No harm or bad will intended with this at all. I just wish to work in my garden with minimum investment in tools!!!

Hugs,
Elisabeth

I was just at an Estate sale last week where they had killer deals on garden tools. Too bad i didn't know you were looking. A dollar or 2 for shovels and rakes and hoes and spades. The home owner had a very nice hot house in the rear of the property.

I'll keep my eye out, I enjoy estate sales and finding things I can list on Ebay to a larger market area so when I hit today's estate sale I'll see what they have.

Thanks. I can pay you back. I went out last weekend to garage sales and so often, you'll just find basic screwdrivers, hammers, garden stuff left and right.

This time around, nada.

So I was just asking around. Probably a few of these summer gardening items will go on sale in another few weeks, but I was just seeing what was out there.

For whatever reason the phrase, "had a nice hot house in the back" should be made into a joke somewhere!

Thanks, Lazarus.

Hugs,
Elisabeth
