I haven't kept up with the UT alumni but hope the best for Colt. It will be interesting if he has a better NFL career than Vince Young, though maybe Young still has something to prove.
As long as the Patriots or the Eagles don't win it this year, I'll be cool.

Wouldn't count on that. It's preseason but the Pats looked awful good last night. Then again, the Buccs were awfully bad. Steelers didn't look bad either.

I still have hope for the Cowboys. I am not sold on Romo anymore. I think Stephen Mcgee gets to play more this year. He is from Burnett TX and he looked good in that first preseason game.

Cowboys will be the fourth best team in Texas this year, behind, TCU, A&M and the Houston Texans. And nobody knows what kind of chit Mack Brown will pull on the world either. Never know. Horns could wind up in the BCS champeenship. Certainly have the beef to do it.
Somewhere between Major Applewhite and Boise State, well, I'm just sayin I bought MY season tickets!

Texans vs. Saints tonight.
I know it's preseason, but expect some fireworks nonetheless.
I remember a "couple" years back an incident or two between the Oilers and the Saints. Anybody else?

You're as wrong about this as you are about politics! The Longhorns have exactly one starting QB in the NFL and his name is Colt McCoy.
Edit: Never mind. I think Sixx meant the last starting QB before Colt. My mistake.

Sup Glad you mentioned the Texans and Saints game. Gotta watch it tonight. I hope the Texans have a better year this year.

They should have fired Kubiak last year. This is their TENTH season and no playoffs!
Dark times for Houston fans these are.

HOPEFULLY the NFL network will air the Texans/Saints tonite...Last week they had listed a live broadcast of the Browns game (on Dish Network), but at airtime they showed a replay of a different game...I hope they show the live game tonight and last week was just a fluke...
If not, I'll settle for another good Rangers/White Sox game...

Stephen McGee is not a starting QB, doesn't matter how good he looks in the pre season. Tony Romo probably won't ever win MVP but it's hard to make any judgements on him when he only had 9 snaps.
Hopefully, we can get some real production from out RB's. We sure miss Emmitt Smith. I still can't believe we passed up Steven Jackson from St. Louis. If my memory serves me correct, we passed him up for Julius Jones....

Stephen McGee is progressing well and he can run...You know if you look at Vince Youngs statistics he looks terrible, but he wins games. Tony Romo has great stats, but he doesn't win many games. Maybe he will turn a corner this year and play smarter.

Again, I know it's just preseason, but the Texans looked very strong tonight against the Saints.
Arian (nation) Foster looked like he hadn't taken a day off since last year and Ben Tate from Auburn, who missed his entire rookie season on the IR last year rushed for 95 yards in the second quarter.
Defense looks a lot better too...especially into the second and third slots on the depth chart. Wade Phillips is a heck of a defensive coordinator...never had the temperament to be a head coach.
Looks like heartbreak time is just around the corner! Kubiak's still in command.

I agree that the Texans looked very good yesterday evening. Of course, having the best wide receiver and running back in the league is a nice start. Let's see if the defense can continue to rise to the occasion!
Can't wait for the regular season to begin! Go Texans!!!!!

Houston Texans looking like serious contenders. Yeah, it was San Francisco they whooped up on, but the defense is looking stronger than a Juarez plate lunch right now.
Oh yeah, and the Cowboys are pussies!
LOL!
