Ads in other cities.

I post in other cities every so often for guys that will be traveling to Dallas. I've never ever had a problem. I see ladies do it constantly. You can imagine my surprise when I get a PM from an admin telling me not to post an ad unless I plan on visiting that city. Really? I will of course abide by the rules but it seems like this rule was just sorta grabbed from thin air. I looked through the rule book on advertising and it says we may post in up to 5 cities a week. It says nothing about what the ad has to say in those cities, or if you plan on going to that city. How would I even know if I could tour a city unless I got some replies to the ad?

I believe there is a miscommunication here somewhere. If It's on my part please tell me. If it's on the admin's part, please tell me that too.

There are at least a handful of providers here that are waiting for a reply to this as well.

Per the the welcome letter, you may only post in cities you are activily serving. If you not in a city, you should not post there.

AD POSTING

As a Verified Provider, you may now post weekly ads on ECCIE Worldwide in our Provider Ad sections. You may post 1 per week (7 days) and we extend this to up to 5 cities for ladies who may be traveling. In addition to this, we recently added a new forum called "The Weekend Lineup" to give ladies the opportunity to post a second ad during the week, specifically regarding their weekend availability. You may post in the weekend ad section Thursday through Sunday. For maximum benefit, many ladies post their main ad in the Provider Ad section on Mondays, and then a second ad in the Weekend Lineup section on Thursday. This seems to provide a good deal of visibility throughout the course of the week.

TBone has verified thsi is the correct policy. We also know there are a number of places the verbage does not match on the same topic. Its on the list to make notices, instructions, etc more consistant.

If you are planing a trip, you can post a notice of when you will be in town in Co-Ed, then run the ad when you actualy going to be there.

From a guys view, these kinds of ads are just spam. we dont need to waste time looking at an ad for some hot chick then notice she not even in our area. If we want to see ads for ladies in another city, we can look at that cities ad forums.
