From your description of what you enjoy, fly fishing is probably not for you at this time. You need the proper equipment (waders, fly rod, reel, flies, etc.) and some practice throwing a fly before hitting the stream. Also, fly fishing for wiley trout in our parts can be very frustrating -- those dumb Alaskan fish are a better bet.
You might consider heading to New Orleans where you can combine some serious partying (or business) with world class fishing. You will need to rent a car since the fishing grounds, and operators, are on the other side of the river and into the bayou. The west coast of Florida also has some very good fishing in the Sarasota to Marco Island area. Again, you will have to get a guide. A guide, with boat, tackel and bait typicallly runs about $500 per day (that would be total for two).
