Default maxed out on pic posting space?

I went to add some photos to a thread and it said I was out of room to post photos? Does that mean the only way to add more pics is to go and delete where i have posted them previously? Is there another way around this limitation? Any way to get it increased? I have pics with reviews that I think should remain, as they show the provider. Ideas from mod? Insight?

I have seen posters from other areas (dallas for example) where theres someone who adds a pic of the provider to almost every review, for the benefit of those reading the review. Why is he able to post so many and I so few?

If you're attaching the photos to your posts, that may be the problem.

The Dallas poster you're referring to is probably geniusman. I looked up a few of his posts in review threads where he's posted pictures of providers, and I noticed that he doesn't attach those pictures, he uses the image button () to insert the pictures (which are hosted somewhere else, imageshack I believe) into his posts. That doesn't involve eating up space on ECCIE's server, and can't possibly run into any sort of user account space limitation issues (at least not on this server; it might on his imageshack account, though one can almost always buy more storage with those types of accounts ). You might want to get an account at imageshack or some similar photo hosting service, keep your pictures there, and then insert them inline using the image button vice attaching them.

If you do that, just make sure that you get an account at a host with no (or at least very loose) morals. I've seen providers who have photobucket (I think) accounts for the purpose of adding their pictures to their ads, and every so often you'll see an error graphic instead of their pictures, with a message reading something like "this image deleted because it violates our terms of service". Obviously, you don't want that happening.

Cheers,

bcg

I already use imagecoast, and I will have to check, but I think that's already how I have done several of mine.

Interesting. If it's an imagecoast issue, I have no clue what the problem might be; I don't post enough pictures to worry about having an image hosting account.

Good luck!
