Ramaswamy said on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures. “Federal
contractors are really exploiting the federal government.”
Trump said last week that the new panel — known as the
Department of Government Efficiency — would work with the White
House’s Office of Management and Budget to dismantle
bureaucracy, slash regulations, cut wasteful spending and
restructure federal agencies.

“We expect certain agencies to be deleted outright,”
Ramaswamy said. “We expect mass reduction in force in areas of
the federal government that are bloated. We expect massive cuts

Ramaswamy didn’t single out any contractors, and isn’t
clear yet how the efficiency drive will be structured.
If Musk and Ramaswamy are put on a federal advisory
committee, they’d be subject to ethics laws requiring them to
recuse themselves from discussions and decisions affecting them
personally. SpaceX, Musk’s rocket company, has more than $15
billion in federal contracts.

Presumably so. Guess we'll have to leave those astronauts in space until NASA can figure it out.

I presume you mean exactly how many, as opposed to approximately.
As such, exactly ZERO.

Americans.

I take it you have never dealt with government contracts. They can be yuuuuge dollar and overly burdensome because of bureaucratic demands.

Typically. I would defer to your wise council. This time around. Not so much

I mentioned this in another thread yesterday. Have since found the video on yu-be-tub-e, below. This plan has been envisioned years ago. This time around, he is not letting the swamp drain the swamp.

Trump releases “single most important video on the internet today” about how to rid world of deep state tyranny
11/15/2024 // Ethan Huff

Time is up for the deep state cartel as President-elect Donald Trump hits the ground running with a bold America First plan.

The inauguration is still a few months away, but Trump released the video below, outlining what he plans to do starting on Day One of his second term.

"I will shatter the deep state and restore government that is controlled by the people," Trump promises.

One of Trump's first orders of business on Jan. 20, 2025, is to re-issue a 2020 executive order allowing the president, in this case Trump, to fire all rogue bureaucrats from government who are insubordinate to the new administration and its plans for America, which American voters overwhelmingly voted in favor of installing on Election Day...

Not sure what part of Milei's agenda you should have a quibble with, if in fact you're interesting in virtually taking a chainsaw to America's bloated government Leviathan.

Actually, my concern isn't so much that such a purge wouldn't be a good idea; but rather that in the US today, anything remotely resembling it may be well-nigh impossible.

Anyone remember the "Grace Commission," formed pursuant to a Reagan executive order of 1982? In fact, Ronnie was the first president, as far as I know, to use the term "drain the swamp."

The plan, presented in 1984, was formulated by a few of a previous generation's smartest guys. And Reagan, who obviously was a much more likeable and popular president, with far greater public support, was unable to get more than very minor bits and pieces of the plan implemented.

If Donald and the Elon/Vivek team have any chance of succeeding, they're going to need to come out of the gate, across all areas of government, with a demonstration of manifest competence and credibility, not rampant confusion and chaos.

In this regard, I'm afraid it isn't looking promising so far.

(Matt Gaetz? Seriously? Who believes that picking this incompetent, hyperpartisan bomb-thrower was a good idea?)

I like hyperpartisan bomb throwers. They keep it interesting.
