Yes, numerous philosophers over thousands of years state the same conclusion.
My fav:
Clausewitz's (1780 to 1831) quote is:
War is a continuation of policy by other means.
Quite a few folks substitute the word politics for policy in this quote which is not correct.
Another fav of mine from Clausewitz is:
In war, the result is never final.

I assume we’re referring to the South Korean ROK
Republic of Korea Armed Forces
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republ...a_Armed_Forces
The ROK Armed Forces is one of the largest and most powerful standing armed forces in the world with a reported personnel strength of 3,600,000 in 2022 (500,000 active and 3,100,000 reserve).
And you are correct. Nobody wants to fuck with the ROK.

North Korean troops should consider what happened to the invincible and feared Yevgeny Prigozhin and his 25,000 member Wagner Group in Ukraine. After murdering mostly civilians 80% of his forced was killed in the first year and Yevgeny Prigozhin died in a "mysterious plane crash"

So if over 3,000 NKs were in Russia training, does that mean their North Korean military training wasn't worth diddley?
If so, perhaps the concept of cannon fodder applies.

I think that this is also a pretext to allow the Korean military to move to integrate with other NATO forces and intelligence.
I also believe however that this will be a pretext for the resupply of weapons and ammunition for the Ukrainian military. Something that the South Koreans are quite good at manufacturing.

I agree. I hope they take advantage of the situation.

I went through basic with a guy that was a ROK soldier. He was fcuking hard. He told us that the US Army Basic was like the boy scouts in comparison to theirs. I believe it.
Every ROK I met after him confirmed the same belief.

The term battle-hardened is what needs to asked. When was the last time N Korea was on a battlefield on foreign soil. There is no hand to hand combat this war is US technology vs Russian technology. N Korean soldiers are going to experience a cyber shock and awe

Clearly the POK service has more sensible leadership than the US.

In South Korea, trans men are considered to be disabled, impaired, and not fit for military service even though some trans men may want to serve. Trans men who change their legal gender are assigned to Grade 5, which makes them unfit for active or reservist duty.

Well I don't know how a military service with such FASCIST rules can be allowed to serve alongside the freedom loving UKR. Heck I don't know how we can even call them allies!
I don't really get the motivation for the ROK to send their troops to the UKR to fight the Russians and NORKs...
I'd think they'd be delighted to see the NORK ground down a little bit.

What for? You guys say the USA should be there, shouldn't help, should give $$$. This is a response to what his neighbor is doing and what could happen to other european countries. If anything, it should light a fire under them.

They need to assess any intel in how their northern cousins perform. They are not on kissing cousin status so the smart cookie will study all battlefield intel just incase they get a hot one going.

The ROK is the armed service of South Korea. Our ally. Why would we bomb them. The truth is that South Korea lives in the shadow of a nuclear strike from north korea on a daily basis. It’s a really bad idea to go shooting nuclear weapons in the area considering that North Korea borders both China and the Russian Federation.
I would think that South Korea is worried about what kind of military technology transfer that Russia might provide in exchange for their military support. I would bet that Kim Jong-un would be willing to exchange quite a number of casualties in exchange for better missile and guidance technology for their nuclear arsenal. Or perhaps submarine improvements and hypersonic weapons technology.
