From The Desk of (Grumpy) Redwing
So, have been reading several articles recently about millenials, inheritances, baby boomers and retirement.
One of the articles states that about 78% of millenials are counting on inheritance from their parents as a primary source of retirement income. Funny thing is, when the parents of these lazy shits were surveyed, only about 32% of them said they plan on leaving their kids anything substantial as an inheritance. Wake up, millenials, and start working and saving your own fucking money instead of continuing to live off the tit of your parents.
And speaking of your parents, the primary reason they are not going to leave you anything is because they don't have anything to leave you. In fact, they are shitting their pants because now that they are reaching retirement age they are realizing that all those years of living in 5-bedroom McMansions, driving $75,000 luxery SUVs, going out for dinner every night, and buying you $600 hockey sticks or $400 baseball bats has prevented them from properly preparing for retirement. And now these fuckers are crying that Social Security alone won't cut it for them!!! Guess what dumb fucks, it was never intended to - you still needed to do you own saving to make it through retirement.
And now we've got politicians saying how we have a retirement crisis and the government needs to step in and help. Bullshit I say!!!!!! I don't want to be paying more taxes so that these snobby assholes who wanted to live like kings all their lives can now comfortably retire. Hell no!!!! I made it through two divorces, raised two kids and put them through college, drove small cars until they were 15+ years old and the wheels were falling off, shopped at Aldi's and ShopRite, made my meals at home, didn't go on expensive vacations and was able to tuck a little bit away each paycheck so that I could go into retirement comfortably.
Fuck the fuckin' fuckers who lived lives of spoils and are now crying that they don't have a fucking "pot to pee in".
Respectfully submitted,
RW

You keep mentioning the DJT stock. Guess you missed out on getting in early before it went public, and missed out on selling it after it went public.
Welp…I didn’t miss out. Sold everything I had after it went public. Did quite well actually.
Sorry for your loss.
And Thanks DJT

I honestly know absolutely nothing about what your meaning is behind this post. But, what I said is a true story. We all get lucky sometimes.
Maybe thinking with the big head while investing your hard earned cash, instead of thinking with the little head that has hate & stops fellas from thinking clearly when it comes to investments.
After all, it is the American Dream we’re all looking for. Nothing wrong with expanding your wealth while the iron is hot.
Btw, Clint Eastwood is a Conservative Republican.

"mcMansions"?
seems like a leftist phrase?
your against people gaining retirement wealth through
eighther buying /selling real estate and all the benefits to
all small contractors and sub contractors
all the people that work for products, distribution , restraunts,
communities, utility workers, ?
even working people that the mc mansion they bought is now a great source of equity to use during retirement?
if someone has equity to finance their needs it is far less taxing
to the population as a whole cause your not going and looking for
some government program .
I get it if your a Hussein voting , gut out the middle class
make everyone dependant on a gov handout untill
we no longer have anyone to grab their things from that in your view
was "I'll gotten gains" from some sort of "white privilege"?

The only millennials I know that are not working for their money don't seem to plan on outliving their parents. It seems like planning on an inheritance is more of a boomer thing (outside of maybe long island people anyway). Or maybe that's just the case with people I know, hard to say. I know I'm being left plenty but personally I don't bank on it, I would rather earn what I have than allow people to try to hold shit over my head and guilt trip me into doing what they want me to do. Always better to have options than to be pigeon holed into living a life that you don't want.
I think the whole idea of retirement over all is something millennials tend not to believe in.
Also I tend to think only certain types of people take the time to answer polls and articles in this day and age are generally written by people that have a incentive to make the article as sensational and inflammatory as possible to get people to click through to the full article so that they can get that sweet sweet ad money that the internet thrives on. That's one of those things that's all too easy to forget
