I don’t understand why you and some MAGA Republicans are triggered by the idea that a hungry person might eat a cat.

Because this is America and not Gaza or the Sudan. I agree with you that there are situations where someone might be hungry enough to eat a cat or dog but in the United States there are plenty of places where people can find food that don’t require hunting the neighbors pets.

Even in my initial state of ignorance I didn't think Haitians were hunting pets. Cats do however tend to roam around neighborhoods and you can easily mistake a "pet" someone feeds for a stray. In my community they round up strays from time to time and most of them are euthanized.

I think I was initially full of shit, as the Haitians in Springfield probably can work because of special dispensations granted by the Feds. But if a person just had $250 a month to live on (because it's illegal for him to work) and he or she came from a culture where cats are considered by many to be a tasty meal, then I could see him eating a stray. And far from condemning that person, I'd say he's doing his best to cope with a fucked up system.

I grew up in a rural community. My uncles hunted squirrels and rabbits for food in winter. Some city slickers might view them as less than human for that. I sure don't.

My mother’s side of the family are all hunters and fishers. I was served a lot of game, bird and fish growing up. And you learned quickly that complaining about it was not a good idea.

This shit is so out of hand, that the Springfield Weathermen were told to refrain from saying "it's raining cats and dogs", in case the Haitians react by running into the street with knives and forks.

Haha! Hilarious, honestly. I was going to start calling you Das Kapital Lite because of some of your posts in other threads, but I won't.
