This entire statement is slanted. First of all the “married” boss had been separated from his wife for over a decade. Second of all just because you dated someone doesn’t mean it was done to further a career. Thirdly just because a friend gives you a helping hand doesn’t make it unethical. If they had been married would it have made a difference?

No, the fact that I suggest the relationship was transactional makes me realistic and not naive about a thirty year age gap between these "friends" (whom Brown has admitted to sleeping with). Your claim that my position is misogynistic assumes that I find no fault in him in the whole affair. You are wrong, again.

In the interest of clarity, I think Brown was the speaker of the Cal State Assembly at the time they became "friends". He was then elected Mayor of SF. At that point he became her boss.
And Brown has taken credit for her becoming DA and talked about helping lay the groundwork for her career in the past.
