When everything was shut down at the height of the pandemic, (except for big-box stores, liquor stores and strip clubs) my wife and I got a shot as soon as we were considered to be eligible. We are both retired and well into our 70s, and "they" said we were in a high risk group. So we got a shot.

"They" said if we got the shots and if enough other people did too maybe then we could all celebrate July 4th in small groups at home. Then "they" said we all needed a booster shot a fewe weeks later to seal the deal . . .and we did that too as soon as it was pollable. Then it was said that we all needed yet another shot (we got it) and then maybe a shot every few weeks or months . . .and I stopped listening.

We both got Covid at one time or another in the next year, and so did our son and daughter-in-law, who had by then each had four or so shots.

This past spring, my wife's brother and sister-in-law spent six weeks in Spain without incident, then flew home and developed symptoms that tested positive for Covid. Both are academics with PhDs. Both have voted Democrat for decades and both have been "vaccinated" at least six times according to him.

Looks alone casn be decieving.

You described a typical scenario of the Pandemic. Now it's been four years since Covid-19. But that's not the end of it, I had read an article about a new variant, it's called the "FLiRT" variant.

People have known I have been vaccinated for many decades.

But that would be the old farts who know. Young squirts have no idea what that scare is on my upper arm.

Back in the day, you could not go overseas without being in the vaxxed club.

Have no idea why people whine about it. Especially those that get flu shots. Same principal, different bug.

I too have a small pox scar on my shoulder courtesy of Uncle Sams wishes. It doesn't mean shit because the technology changed in terms of delivery method. THAT'S what is at issue.

And you just admitted to being a subject in experimental technology.

I'll state again: no vaccination is 100% safe. Hence anyone having a bad reaction for whatever reason is the scarlet letter in your book for shot being bad. And you "volunteered" for it when they stuck that needle in your arm without you knowing full well that you might get a bad reaction to it.

And you are blind to it.

Tech must surly have changed when you had that shot. Small pox inoculation was a cake walk. I had some horse needle to where I couldn't move my arm for over a day.

Guess that made me King Rat in the experimental lab.
