The below sums it up.

“I have never voted a party line. I vote on the individual and the issues.”

Walter Cronkite

The flaws of Trump overshadow any current issues. To have him return as President will be a disaster
for America.

The only piece of legislation Trump got through Congress that helped me in any way was his tax plan, which most believe favored the rich.
Thanks for that.

My perception of President Trump's pre-pandemic administration is that his tax policy allowed the economy pt prosper, which benefitted people across the socio-economic spectrum.

Would you care to address any of the other parts of my post, immigration perhaps? How is uncontrolled, unrestricted and unlimited influx of foreigh nationals from around the globe good for the USA and its' citizens?

If you think an old vengeful man who will do nothing for this country other than strongly support an evil monster like Putin and seek vengeance on anybody who he believes has wronged him, then you are right, Trump is the answer. Fortunately, the majority of this country knows exactly who Trump is and knows that an extreme narcissist like him who has no respect for neither rules nor authority, has no business whatsoever being the most powerful person in the world.
Amen. Still cleaning up the slaughter the former potus is responsible for. More like maga hyenas.

And they still haven't been able to reunite a few families because of their fucked up records. Truly disgusting when they were sending children in front of judges without parents or viable legal consul to represent.

Yes, I too believe Trump's tax policy was more positive than negative, especially for corporations. But I also believe those on the upper end of the income range benefitted far more than those on the middle and low end of the income range. We got around $100 a month benefit in the new tax laws. We got 2 to 3 times that amount in the Social Security COLA.

I have never supported "catch and release". And I've said for a long time that Biden must do something to control the southern border. But I totally disagree with complete shutting down of the border and telling those that are trying to legally get into our country to simply go back to where they came from or stay on the other side of the border and "just wait". There has to be a middle ground.

"Legally": That is the catch.

By Intenational agreement, asylum seekers and refugees are mandated to apply for protection in the first country they enter from their homeland. In the Case of folks flying into Mexico to cross into the USA, that country could be Mexico. In th case of those crossing into the USA from Canada, it could be Canada. In either case, that first cvountry could very well be somewhere else.

Current US immigration law in effect at this time mandates that asylum seekers and those wishing to enter the USA on some other status must apply for travel documents at the US embassy or consulate in their homeland.

Whatever the case, anyone attempting to enter the USA on any status must do so at a port of entry and submit to the attention of immigration and customs officials.

I am sure that there are a very few exceptions to that, but this is broadly, is the legal situation ttoday.

Any action other than those described above is a de facto illegal act.
