Just a tragic story. 5 dead so far. So many homes damaged.

This had to be a massive gas leak. Nobody went into these people’s house and set charges. They must’ve been asleep to not have smelled it and gtfo. The gas company isn’t going to be responsible here, even though everyone will still want their heads because what happened is unthinkable. People inherently want someone’s scalp. Inside the house is the homeowner’s responsibility to maintain and there’s no way flow meters would have picked up on such a relatively small amount of usage. They don’t monitor individual houses in real time, only periodically for billing purposes. Tragic tho.

The video of the explosion was like something out of a movie.


Although it is kinda odd to have 3 gas explosions in the same area within a few years of each other.

My god. It looks like a JDAM strike, total devastation. At least the people didn’t suffer, they were dead instantly. The Mrs is frantic, this is only a couple miles away. Our alarm company doesn’t have NG detectors that can be added so ordered a couple stand alone units off Amazon.

There’s rumors stirring that it was a Breaking Bad situation.

The news said the guy was like the Local Handyman, which has me wondering if maybe he was doing some home repair stuff and had a gas leak he didn't know about.

There were 2 gas leaks reported in other parts of Plum that were called in and getting attention since this happened.
