Today InBev released 2nd quarter numbers and the results were not a surprise they took a hit in the spring though other brew companies who show Pride and inclusivity have done quite well in the wake of the Bud Light boycott.
Ron DeSantis had not officially declared his run for the White House when Kid Rock decided to embrace his 2nd Amendment rights and make a video that went viral but he did have this to say about the beer company.

“So I think we have power as consumers to make our voice heard and not on every company because sometimes conservative consumers aren’t going to make a dent in some companies. This one is one,” DeSantis added.
Fair commentary from a sitting Governor. We have power as consumers.
Fast forward to July 21st (coincidence this was the same day the Barbie movie released?) and his commentary is much different.

"DeSantis is threatening to sue Bud Light’s parent company"
Legal action? Now to be fair he mentioned the $50 million invested in InBev by Florida via their state pension fund. Fun fact when DeSantis took office in early 2019 InBev stock was around $70 a share and dipped to $40 a year later before rebounding as it has been around or just under $60 since late 2021.
Somehow he didn't seem to concerned about InBev investments until he declared as a candidate. Now he thinks that a sitting Governor should be able to tell a beer retailer how to run their business? Is he a Conservative? Does the Republican party hate gay people so much they would get behind a candidate who openly speaks out against a primary party belief?
This sounds like some Mickey Mouse bullshit to me.
