I'm from Texas too, and believe me, Saigon is next level kinda heat!

I've done Bangkok and Chiangmai with good success. Pattaya is on my TDL. Have you posted any of your adventures there on this board?

There's no winter in Viet Nam. At least the southern part. Only 2 seasons, rainy and dry.
Go in Dec, Jan or Feb for cooler weather.
